Welcome to FeatureFashion.co.uk, my outlet for showcasing some of the best trends, bargains and looks on the high street. My name is Christy and I buy at least three fashion magazines a week, which may come in handy to keep me warm when my electricity gets cut off for overspending.

Since becoming a grown up (scary biscuits) I have had to curb my fashion cravings and learn how to bargain hunt and budget, which I have to say, has been surprisingly easy this year… the trick is to shop around and buy pieces that you can wear again and again!

Some of my favourite fashion buys have recently come from Lipsy, Rare, Republic, Bank and Zara; they are affordable, fun and on trend! I always check out what’s online – online shopping is fast becoming my guilty pleasure, however, plan ahead folks as with the postal strikes there may be delay in getting your mitts on that bargain. Buying online is also an added opportunity for getting a size that is unavailable in stores.

However, you can’t beat the rush of buying in store! If I am on the prowl for some night out clobber I always put on some simple make up and have my hair done – this gives a better idea of what you will look like when the glams turned up and lets face it starts the day off with a style bang!

My style icons at present are Rachel Bilson; Rachel is understated, chic and always on trend without being too try hard, Katie Holmes; I love Katie’s tailored style, she hits the classy nail on its head and can turn into a style siren at the click of her Jimmy Choo’s… and last but not least Mrs Cheryl Cole – I for one think Cheryl is fascinating. She is beautiful and manages to get the mix of pretty, sexy and girl next door just right, she’s young and her fashion sense is evolving; I for one am loving keeping tuned for what’s next from the loveable Geordie.

My biggest tip is to get to know your body, what works and what doesn’t, if you got it flaunt it and ladies we all have it we just need to learn the best way to unleash it! I am a size 10, 5’7 woman; I have lumps and bumps (specifically 32D boobs and a booty which at times requires major squeezing into skinnies). I am the voice of the everyday lady who will find the fashions that are affordable, wearable and will give you the va va voom!
