Pastels are no longer the colour of the granny, they are making a comeback this year in a big way. The great thing about pastel shades is they suit both pale and tanned skin so don’t worry if you are not getting any summer sun any time soon. I personally love the pastel pink hitting the shelves right now and the gorgeous accessories to match.
The high street is filled with some great pastel bargains, do not go over kill however mix and match it into your wardrobe for a grown up chick effect.
I love this bow belt shift dress from New Look, It is so cute! Its also extremely versatile, wear with flats for a casual summers day look or team with a cardi and a pair of courts for a work to pub look. Many looks for £25, it makes financial sense therefore to buy it I say.
I also think this cropped bow cardigan is super sweet, pair with a long vest and skinnies for a day look.
Pastels are hitting a home run for Dorothy Perkins this season. Try this peach spotty ruffle tunic. Gorgeous! Pair with leggings, a tote bag and some great bangles; keep the winter chill away with a chunky knit, the combo will look cute to boot.
The candy colours do not just have to take pride of place in your wardrobe there is a great range of accessories also. My top tip would be not to go too ‘matchy matchy’ as the look can become a little contrived and too ‘pretty’, mix and match the pattern and textures to keep the look fun!
